New for 2009 / Site News

**** Site Update - July 7 ****

My not so old computer died a slow and painful death recently so I had to get a new one. It's been a major pain as I have been hampered for weeks while I tried to sort out the problem. At first I thought it was a virus but when I couldn't get past the start-up screen I knew that it was something much more serious.

I do have access at work but given that this isn't what I'm paid to do when I'm there, that didn't help much. I've tried to keep up with the most urgent messages but if you've been trying to get in touch with me and not getting a response, this is why.

The good news is I have a new machine - better and faster than the old one. I'm running Windows 7, if anyone is interested, and I love it. Much better than Vista, which I actually liked, and way better than any other flavor of Windows. Don't rant at me about Macs or Linux. I'd love to try them one day but that would take more time than I have, not to mentioned that my wife - who dislikes unnecessary change - would be annoyed.

I will post the winners for May and then update the Trailer Awards for June (yes I know it's July) and then I'll post the winners for the June Covers as well as posting new covers for July. Please be patient - I do have a very full time job and a family that comes first, although not in that order. If it's any consolation the cover for my novel was entered for June and even I don't know who the winners are yet.

Thanks for your patience and continued support.

~~~~~
Starting in 2009 we will be posting 20 entries per month.
Although this is a lot of work that we need to do every month, there is a large backlog of entries that need to be cleared and entrants have been waiting for months to have their Trailers posted. Even now we have almost 2 months worth of Covers waiting to be posted, which means that any new entries are probably looking at April at the earliest.
Thank you and Happy New Year
Welcome to The New Covey Trailer Awards
Welcome to The New Covey Trailer Awards.
The New Covey Trailer Awards are the same as The New Covey Awards but for Book Trailers (sometimes also called Book Peeks) instead of Book Covers.
The goal of The New Covey Trailer Awards is to recognize Book Trailers that would make you interested in the book, make you stop and perhaps visit the authors website to read the excerpt. Like The New Covey Awards, it is also a forum that provides additional exposure for new authors.
Each person who wins a New Covey Trailer Award will receive an icon and will be listed as an Award Recipient. The icon and a link can be posted on their website or blog to show the world that their Book Trailer rocks.
Contact us at TheNewCoveyTrailerAwards@gmail.com with any questions.
